Hold Them Close

Everyone will tell you to make the best of your time with those you love. There is 100% truth in that. Then life happens and there's a whirlwind of time that goes by and before you know it things change, we all get older, stuff happens both good and bad.

I always tried to keep it in the back of my mind to be mindful, but I like many others am guilty of falling into the routine and busyness of life. Yet, I try to stop and think when I can, to soak in the moment, whether extravagant or the most beautiful of ordinary, because nothing in this world ever lasts forever.

Forever though with Dad will always be in my heart. In your voice, in your jokes, in your scolds, in your laughs, in your talks, and most especially in your presence. I'll miss and love you forever and always. Thank you for this beautiful life you've blessed me with.

And like you told me in our last conversation, despite having a cold and feeling pains, you said about our Bahamas trip that "I always have fun." I will do my best to always have fun too, regardless of what life may bring.
