1. The now is all we can stake claim on. No yesterday, no tomorrow. Wake up. Be present. Live & love now.

And as an add on...

"So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."

2. Life is a gift, and some gifts may appear better than others at times, but it's all part of the process. Enjoying the thrill from life's roller coasters all comes down to one's attitude.

"Dying is only one thing to be sad over. Living unhappily is something else...I'm trying to enjoy the process...put a daily limit on self-pity...then on with the day."

3. Absorb all that is around you, thoughtfully & purposefully. You create your own reality.

"The culture we have does not make people feel good about themselves. And you have to be strong enough to say if the culture doesn't work, don't buy it."
